Focus Cadence
An interval timer for the Mac

Privacy Policy

Effective 5 September 2026

Focus Cadence does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.

What stays on your Mac

Your settings, presets, and custom colours are saved on your Mac, inside the app's sandboxed container. They never leave the device and are not visible to us or to anyone else.

Network

The app makes no network connections of its own. It has no server to talk to.

Purchases

The optional unlock is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and holds your purchase record; we never see your name, email address, or payment details. The app checks whether the unlock has been purchased using Apple's StoreKit framework, on your device.

Notifications and activity

If you turn on system notifications, they are scheduled and shown locally by macOS. To pause a session when you step away, the app reads how long it has been since the last keyboard or mouse input, as reported by macOS. It does not record what you type or where you click.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Because the app collects nothing, we do not expect it to change much.
